Sorry if I have any continuing readers yet … things sorta got busy here towards the end of the week. It’s weird how important school feels this quarter, because (again) these past 4 years have seemed more to be about “just going to school”. I mean, sure I have a huge portfolio, but now I have other crap above my head … I think people call it “purpose”. Looks like I may have a job coming towards me too, in the form of tutoring, which is cool because it will prep me for teaching.
Anyway in good news, I’ve sold from what I recall is my first picture ever.

Liberty who use to adorn my door, was sold to some guy I met who thought it was cool. I don’t know how to appropriately price things like that so I gave him the price of 20 dollars … he ended up giving me 30, plus a single bill that I can save as a memento of first sale. For those of you interested; this piece is inspired by Liberty Leading the People.

Also, I introduce to you all a feature of this website; resources! Since I want this place to be populated by my peers and those who share my interests I (and hopefully others) will be posting stuff to further our knowledge. For today let’s take a look at some of the roots of animation. Vintage ToonCast is a video podcast I’ve subscribed to for a little while that shows public domain cartoons. Some are classics I remember from being a kid, some are a little more provocative and would be appropriate for younger kids these days. You be the judge and check out here:
